2019 Notes From Artists Dennis Eavenson and Sharon Eavenson On The Caribbean Breeze Collection

These artworks are meant to capture the essence of joyous time spent during vacations and leisure activities. Connecting
place and experience with visual images of tropical palm trees, we sought to achieve an emotional bond with the viewer that
talks about the importance of freedom from a structured existence. An upward viewpoint references the experience of sitting
quietly on garden seat or lying lazily in a hammock. Viewpoint combined with the canopy of flowing palms and patches of
clear blue sky creates an uplifting effect. These works engage viewers to consider ocean breezes and a carefree moments
filled with day dreams.
